As you can see, God has given us a beautiful and unique piece of history to call home. In the floor plan above, where it says "Our Office", that portion of the Church was built in 1908. Where it says "Auditorium", that's actually the Sanctuary built in 1938 where we hold our daily "God's Time" and pray over your prayer requests. Where you see "Multi-Purpose Room" that has become Sweet Daddy's Christian Coffee House which you can learn more about by visiting www.sweetdaddys.org It's undeniable what an extraordinary place we have to work, worship and fellowship. The surrounding neighborhood is another matter altogether. This is the area of town where people come to buy drugs, pick up prostitutes etc.... But just like God called Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem, I believe he called us to rebuild and restore His house. It has taken a lot of work, but for His glory, we have reclaimed the land. We had an open house last November when we moved in. I suspect that the forces of darkness were none to pleased. The following photograph was taken that night from across the street. This picture has not been re-touched or altered in any manner. There are no special effects involved, it was not a foggy night, it will however, blow your mind.
